Hi, my name is Kyra, and I work in Kennel and Inventory at Hopewell Animal Hospital in Hopewell, VA. Animal welfare and rescue are close to my heart — I have a particular soft spot for blind kittens, who never fail to remind me just how trusting and resilient animals can be. I have a small collection of cats and dogs at home who keep life interesting.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work I love being outdoors and spending time with my Godchildren. Between them and all my pets, there is never a dull moment.
Favorite Part of My Job
No two days are ever the same, and I love that. There is always variety, always something new to learn, and most importantly, always an opportunity to build genuine bonds with the clients and pets I care for every day. I am also Fear Free Certified, which reflects my commitment to making every visit as calm and positive as possible for the animals in our care.
Why I Chose This Profession
My love for animals and my commitment to their welfare are what brought me to this field. Working in veterinary medicine felt like a natural extension of who I am and what I care about most.
